Due to policies such as encouraging business and trade, raising the financial resources of Muslims, and also by eliminating monopolies, the transportation system at the beginning of Islam expanded to a large scale in Islamic civilization. With the spread of Islam, the development of the transportation system and related activities were taken into consideration, and infrastructure investments were made in the transportation system, and considerable sums were spent on this matter.

The findings of this research indicate that following the widespread conquests of Muslims and the establishment of the great Islamic government, especially after the construction and development of Baghdad and the widespread prosperity of commercial interactions, the creation and development of communication networks and infrastructure facilities such as ports, caravanserais, markets, and Various means of transportation increased. The need to know these vast networks of roads forced some of the Islamic geographers such as Ibn Khordhazba and Istakhari to write geographical works with a road science approach and many establishments appeared in Islamic countries.
